Description

Lead fluxing made easy. No more using rosin, paraffin, tallow, bullet lube, and other homemade concoctions.
CleanCast is non-smoking, odor-free, and it really works.
Only a small amount is necessary to prepare even a 10 kilogram lead pot for bullet production.
Separates dross from your valuable bullet alloy and improves the consistency of the melted lead to eliminate variability during your casting session.

Fluxing is an important and necessary component of bullet casting.
Depending on the source of your lead alloy inclusions of dirt, sand, sludge, oxidation and lubricant residues can be present.
Fluxing is a treatment that separates these inclusions making them float to the top.
The result is cleaner lead allowing for casting better quality bullets.

Instructions

1. Bring casting alloy up to working temperature.
2. Scrape insides and bottom of pot with blade type tool to loosen all dirt and dross so it will float to the top.
3. Remove this loose material so it is not stirred back into your alloy.
4. Add a small amount of CleanCast. For 2 to 5 kilogram pots an amount equal to 1/8 teaspoon is usually sufficient.

Experience will determine the amount of use. An excess of CleanCast will just float to the top to be scraped off.
After adding the CleanCast stir your casting alloy vigorously for approximately one minute. Scrape off accumulated impurities.
